Kate Murfet.
BHSc (Nat), Dawson Program Practitioner (Vibrational Kinesiology)
As a degree-qualified Naturopath and trained Vibrational Kinesiologist (Dawson Program Practitioner), I am fascinated by the power of mind, spirit and emotions in healing. Pairing with this, is my upbringing on a small farm in Tasmania, where quite early in life I became enamoured by the concept of “working in line with nature”. This inspired a love for, and early career in regenerative, holistic, organic and biodynamic agriculture. As the seasons of my life unfold, I have an ever-deepening reverence for the “innate intelligence and healing power” of nature, of the human body (being part of nature and ecology) and the inter-relationship between the health of the landscape and the health of the “whole” human being. Culminate these life experiences together (and more!) and you have a naturopath at your service who is interested in all things health, from soil to soul!

Meaning: “Natureal Wellbeing”
Nature
the phenomena of the physical world collectively, including plants, animals, the landscape, and other features and products of the earth…
the basic or inherent features, character, or qualities of something… The innate qualities or character of a person.
SIMILAR: essence, sum and substance.
Real
actually existing as a thing or occurring in fact; not imagined or supposed.
(of a thing) not imitation or artificial; genuine. .
Well
in a good or satisfactory way.
in a thorough manner.
in good health; free or recovered from illness.
Being
the nature or essence of a person…
Well-being…
the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy.

In summary:
Nature Real has a double meaning. Firstly it encompasses all the elements and the intelligence of nature that holds us and allows for our health. Secondly it acknowledges the inner nature of ‘who we really are’ - living in line with that and honouring this essential and core part of ourselves.
Well Being then, is living in a way that is optimal to the nature and essence of the person, with a natural outcome of a state of being that is happy (joyful), healthy and flowing with the rhythms of life.
Values Guiding Natureal Wellbeing
-
Based on the premise that we are more than just physical beings; that we are made up of energy and ultimately souls (light energy/beings) having a physical experience.
Naturopathically, we call this the Vis Medicatrix Naturae (the Healing Power of Nature). We appreciate the intelligence that resides in all things and that everything is made up of energy.
Understanding that our 'energetics', individual 'constitutions' and life experiences are so intrinsically and beautifully unique. Being with, appreciating and allowing space to tap-in to the wisdom of the individual: sometimes through conversation, sometimes using kinesiology, sometimes gathering data through traditional iridology or from deeper pathology testing to understand what the body is trying to tell us.
To support the release of that which no longer serves, to bring conscious attention to that which is desired and culminate this individuality of medicine into a uniquely tailored plan toward health.
Aligned to the quality of attitude and presence that is held (enthusiasm – from Greek origin “be inspired”) .
-
Intrinsically linked to transforming education into knowledge and finally wisdom. Metaphorically speaking, our dance and intertwining journey is one of ensuring you have the tools and skills to "catch your own fish" and create health for the long term without necessarily requiring my services ongoing.
My dreaming is for a world where people are in tune with their own guidance system and are conscious creators of their life. Acknowledging and embracing our interdependence and capacity to grow and learn with and from one another... while simultaneously being able to think for ourselves.
-
The most powerful medicine you can use to change the world (Nelson Mandela, re-quoted accidentally but aptly by Prof. Michael Wier).
Imagine the change that would be inspired in the world if we took a more holistic and 'whole systems' approach to education - rather than silo'd approaches, that energetic understandings, health, ecology, science, mathematics, art, economics, spirituality (the list is perhaps unending) are foundational to the 'whole being' and treated as 'one'.
-
External environment: living in tune (in appreciation, communion, co-operation) with nature and our full capacity for being.
Internal environment: humans are their own vast micro-ecosystem and managing the ecology of the human being allows for optimal being.
Honouring the inter-relationship between the two:
Zach Bush: “To be human first of all is not a single species event; it takes 1.4 quadrillion bacteria to make me healthy, it takes 14 quadrillion mitochondria with many different species being exhibited in my body for me to actually even digest a single meal; and so, to be human is not to be a species. To be human is to be an ecology, to be an ecosystem. We are the terrain… Terrain theory used to say: well it’s the terrain out there that determines it, and now we’re finding out the terrain is actually within us. So terrain theory is taking its next maturation and realising: We are the ecosystem, the ecosystem is us; and those things are updating each other all the time.” Interview by Isabel Lucas A More Regenerative Future

“If we define healing not merely as curing symptoms but as making and becoming more whole, of bringing out the full potential, then we can include all life forms, and even the earth itself in the category of things worthy of our attention. ”
